Course Description

Welcome to the Certificate III in Business - School-Based Traineeship (BSB30120) at the Queensland Academy of Technology (QAT). We want your experience here to be enjoyable, challenging and rewarding. The skills you learn will give you to the ability and confidence to work in the business services industry in Australia.

School-based Traineeships provide choice for employers and students alike across Queensland. Queensland Academy of Technology has developed a School-based Business Traineeship program to equip our future leaders with the necessary skills to excel in a modern business environment, whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification. On successful completion of a traineeship our students gain credit toward their Queensland Certificate of Education, and increase their chance of entry into University.

Course Duration and Study Options

  • One year

Entry Requirements

An Australian school based trainee or apprentice must:

  • Be a full time school student aged 15 years or older
  • Have the school’s agreement to undertake school-based training
  • Have parent/guardian’s permission (if under the age of 18)

Tuition Fees

Training is free to school based trainees.

Assessments

Skills and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you study at the Queensland Academy of Technology, including written questions, practical skills, tasks, projects, reports, role plays/presentations and third party evidence.
